Allergens

The directive regarding a list of ingredients which can cause allergic reaction on human beings has been accepted by the EU in 2003. These allergens have to be declared on the product label. Peanuts, sesam and seeds are examples of allergens. Eurofins Food has developed some tests to see if your product contains these ingredients. We use molecular biological and immunological methods next to enzymatic tests. With this range of tests it is possible to measure 8-12 allergens at one time.
