SDG 13 - Climate action

Eurofins has the global ambition to be carbon neutral by 2025, by reducing CO2 emissions and offsetting CO2 emissions. Within Eurofins Environment Benelux, we have developed a multi-year plan to become CO2 neutral, where our key focus areas are electricity usage, business travel, goods transport and commuting.

We aim to purchase 100% green renewable electricity by 2025 to reduce our CO2 footprint. We also aim to have at least 75% of our (passenger) lease cars consist of electric/green vehicles by 2025. In the area of goods transport, we contribute to a better climate by, among other things, avoiding unnecessary transports and arranging our routes as efficiently as possible. In terms of commuting, we want to give our employees the opportunity to work from home wherever possible and encourage them to come to work by "green" means of transport.

Furthermore, we are committed to separating waste for recycling as well as possible. In this way, our waste can serve as raw material and we contribute to a circular economy.

Finally, several locations in the Benelux are ISO14001 certified. This gives us a decent environmental management system with an appropriate environmental policy aimed at improving our environmental performance every year.
